OpenSUSE 12.2 Milestone 2 release date

Kim Leyendecker yet to announce the milestone 2 release of OpenSUSE 12.2 version.Milestone 2 for Open SUSE 12.2 is available for downloading and testing from 8th March,2012 and you are expected to provide the feedback for it.Since the previous version of OpenSUSE 12.2 meant for testing,you would have experienced containing some bugs,it is expected to fix most of the bugs in Milestone 2.

OpenSUSE 12.2 officially release Milestones in four phases to accomplish stable version.Later,the Beta version would bring you the pro version of OpenSUSE 12.2.There is alot of additional features involved in Milestone 2 than Milestone 1.

The openSUSE project releases the distribution roughly for every 8 months.OpenSUSE 12.21 has been released on 16th,November 1011.After this launch,most of the linux users prefer OpenSUSE to Ubuntu and other linux distros as because OpenSUSE operating system is easy to install when compared to the other linux distributions.There are more than 15000 OpenSUSE users dominating other distros.OpenSUSE 12.2 stable version is expected to be released by 11th July,2012.

I remember you SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 SP2,the new,reliable and forward-looking development model unveiled by OpenSUSE on 28th,February 2012.Some of its features include an updated Linux kernel,btrfs filesystem support and expanded virtualization capabilities.

Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines.It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.Please report bugs to the official openSUSE Bug Tracker.

The release manager Stephan “Coolo” Kulow said,"There have been enough weeks without another release,s o I started now with uploading Milestone1 of 12.2 (build151)…The main purpose of this release is to find all the places that need to be changed from 12.1 to 12.2 – the branding already made a great start. Milestone1 sure looks great – and different to 12.1 already at this early stage. Great work, artwork team".
