Introduction of Ubuntu for android devices - Mobile world Congress 2012

An announcement from Mark Shuttleworth regarding Ubuntu for Android devices,which will work natively on mobile devcies with Android OS side by side using the same kernel.Ubuntu for Android will be introduced at MWC “Mobile World Congress” 2012 which starts on Monday in barcelona.







Using the same kernel,Ubuntu works with Android side by side along with 4G LTE, 3G capabilities to connect to the internet with high speed, and receive calls and text message while you docked the android device. You can attend the call or reject it and read and send text messages via the desktop.




All you require for Ubuntu for Android is monitor, keyboard, mouse and a dock to attach you device to it,then your resultant would be full desktop experience. It would become more unethical if you call it as "Ubuntu phone" since only Android plays a vital role.The Ubuntu Contact utility lens will looks like :
